Agapanthus Collection

The Agapanthus Collection is a mixed pack of hardy, summer-flowering bulbs (rhizomes) that produce elegant clusters of blue, purple, and white trumpet-shaped flowers on tall, sturdy stems. This collection is perfect for adding architectural height and long-lasting colour to garden borders and containers.

Key Varieties Included

• The collection typically features a mix of the following Agapanthus varieties, which bloom at slightly different times to ensure continuous colour from June to September:
• Agapanthus 'Blue Giant': Produces rich, deep blue flowers that can reach a height of up to 100cm. It is ideal for the back of borders.
• Agapanthus 'Polar Ice': A white variety with large, rounded heads of pure white flowers. It attracts bees and butterflies and grows to about 70cm tall.
• Agapanthus 'Lilac Flash': Features a distinct purple-pink colouring and grows to approximately 60cm in height, blooming in August and September.

Cultivation and Care

• Position: Prefers a sunny, well-drained spot in the garden.
• Planting: Plant the roots/bulbs in spring, around 5cm deep and 30cm apart.
• Maintenance: Water regularly during the first growing season. They benefit from a thick mulch in winter in colder areas.
• Usage: Suitable for borders, rock gardens, and large containers. The flowers are also excellent for cutting and attracting pollinators.
