You can safely enter your credit card or debit card number to pay for items on www.holburyhardware.co.uk safe in the knowledge that your personal details are secure. We partner with SAGE PAY (www.sagepay.co.uk) to process all transactions via their secure servers. All personal information submitted is done so securely with SSL (secure socket layer) 128bit encryption. Only the registered user should order with their login details and it is their reponsibility to keep these details safe.
Once you have submitted your order and payment has been authorised you will receive an acknowledgement email from us and will be able to view your order in the account area of the website.
In the event there is insufficient stock to satisfy your order you will be informed via email or telephone as soon as possible and informed when the goods are likely to be available. You will given the opportunity to cancel the order with a full refund to the credit or debit card used for the purchase.
All prices charged on this website are quoted in pounds sterling. The price you pay for your order is the price which is displayed on the website. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling your order with a full refund.
All our prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are additional and added at checkout. Any exceptional charges are clearly described in the product description.
Debit & Credit Cards
We currently accept the following cards: MasterCard, Visa and Maestro.
With all card payments we require: Card number (long number across the middle), expiry date, Issue number (if card has one) and Security code (last three numbers on back of card).
Your card details are not stored on our system.
Your Right To Cancel
You have the right to cancel your order within fourteen days from receipt of the goods, if you have changed your mind. We will issue refunds and credit your debit/credit card when the cancelled goods are returned and have been inspected by us. Goods must be in their original packaging and in a saleable condition. Products that have been cut to size cannot be exchanged or refunded.
To return any items please contact us first, ensuring you quote your order number. The items should be returned by an agreed delivery method. Delivery charges cannot be refunded and we will not be held responsible for any failings in the return arrangements of unwanted items.
If packages are returned because delivery has been refused or incorrect address information has been given at the time of order then the cost of the order will be refunded less any delivery charges incurred.
Incorrectly Supplied Items
If you receive incorrectly supplied goods, we will offer prompt replacement or an alternative item to the same value or a refund to the value of the goods and the delivery charge. Contact us via email within 5 days, quoting your order number, and we will arrange for the uplift of incorrect goods and delivery of the correct goods.
Defective or Damaged Goods and Short Deliveries
All our parcels are carefully packed by hand and should arrive in perfect condition however if for some reason the package has become damaged during transit we will replace or refund your order in full, including the delivery charge.
Please ensure you inspect any goods immediately on delivery and prior to signing if required. Any visible damage whatsoever should be noted and the delivery signed for as damaged. If inspection is not possible please ensure you sign for goods unexamined allowing us to lodge claims with our delivery partners. Damaged goods should be reported to us, preferably with a photograph within 24 hours of receiving the delivery by email or phone.
Order details must be quoted.
If a product develops a fault in use within 1 year of purchase or is not fit for purpose i.e. does not conform to the contract under the Sale of Goods Act 1979(amended) then Holbury Hardware Stores as the retailer must be informed with proof of purchase and warranty details by phone or email. The item will either be exchanged, repaired or refunded as we deem appropriate. We will make mutually convenient arrangements for the return pending fault investigation and a charge for return will be made if the fault is due to customer negligence.

Cancellation by us:
a) We reserve the right not to accept any order if:
- We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered.
- We cannot deliver to your area because it is outside the areas defined in the dispatch and delivery section.
- One or more of the items ordered was incorrectly described or priced on our website.
- The payment transaction is not authorised.
If orders are cancelled by you or ourselves we will make the appropriate refund, as detailed above, within 7 days of the cancellation or receipt of the returned goods whichever is the latest. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered. We will not be liable to you for any losses, direct, indirect or consequential or damage or inconvenience arising out of any problem with goods or their delivery and we shall have no liability to pay any money by way of compensation other than outlined above.
While every effort is made to meet our customers´ demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, war, strike, lockout, labour dispute, fire, flood, drought, terrorist activity, civil riot or other causes beyond our reasonable control. We shall have no liability for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect caused to goods supplied by events or circumstances beyond our control.
b) Nothing said by any salesperson on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods for sale by us.
c) Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
d) Photographs on our website are for illustrative purposes only, and may not exactly match the product itself. We cannot guarantee the colour or appearance of products on the site will exactly match the products themselves. Sizes are approximate.
e)Some of the items we sell are subject to age restrictions which is indicated in the products' description. It is an offence to sell these items to persons under the age of 18 years. By ordering these items from us you are confirming that you are not under 18 years old and you agree to our Terms and Conditions so that we can legally supply these items to you.
HOLBURY HARDWARE STORES nor any of its directors, partners, employees or other representatives will be liable for loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of this Website.
This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
Holbury Hardware Stores accepts no liability for any information or content contained in external third party websites which link to or from this Website.
Notwithstanding the a foregoing, none of these exclusions and limitations are intended to limit any rights you may have as a consumer under local or other statutory rights which may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of employees and/or agents.
